The 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) will take place in Côte d’Ivoire. The competition will take place from January 13 to February 11, 2024 in Abidjan, Bouaké, Korhogo, San-Pédro and Yamoussoukro. 24 African teams will participate in the continent’s biggest football competition. THE CALENDAR OF THE SECOND DAY OF THE AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS 2024

The second day of the group stage of the African Cup of Nations will begin with a clash between Côte d’Ivoire and Nigeria. There will also be the clash between Egypt and Ghana and the meeting between Senegal and Cameroon. This second day of CAN 2024 should prove decisive in the race to qualify for the round of 16.

THE GROUPS OF THE GROUP STAGE OF CAN 2024

Host Côte d’Ivoire is placed in group A. Seko Fofana and his teammates will face Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria in the group stage. Quarter-finalist for its first participation in 2021, The Gambia will face Guinea, Cameroon and Senegal in Group C. This is the most advanced group of the group stage.

Algeria hesitates from a relatively easy pool with Burkina Faso, Mauritania and Angola without its pool. Semi-finalist of the 2022 World Cup, Morocco will meet opponents largely within reach with matches against Tanzania, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
